Let’s Talk: Story
Story (or narrative) as a communication tool has become an accepted and desired practice because of its success. However, finding the right story is not so easy and crafting one is a whole other ballgame. Why is it so difficult to tell a compelling or motivating story? Aren’t humans natural storytellers?
This interactive workshop launches participants into the power of storytelling. It helps them discover and prepare their own story for a particular audience and deliver it with passion.
By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
- Understand why and how stories move audiences
- Identify the elements of good storytelling
- Learn how to structure a story using the Exact Communication Planning Tool
- Prepare and deliver a story of their own
- Receive and give peer feedback
- Learn how to change your story for different audiences and with different goals
Workshop Structure
Exact Communication workshops are highly interactive. We keep our instructor-to-participant ratio small because we value as much individual time with our participants as possible. We will work with groups to customize workshop sizes, hours, and number of instructors to meet your needs.
For Zoom:
- Two instructors
- 12 participants
- Two days, 3.5 hours each session
In Person One Day Workshop:
- Two instructors
- 16 participants
- Eight hours with lunch break
